I do love finding bargain products at great quality and I'd definitely class this as one, which has slowly climbed to at least top three of my favourite go to lip products. The MUA Whipped Velvet In Spry is amazing! The product itself glides super easily and smoothly on the lips and I definitely see where the "velvet" comes from when it's applied, it's so soft and buttery with good pigmentation. It applies as a liquid formula and then dries into matte form, I tend to stay away from matte finishes because of dry lips and that's just not good but I don't find this drying in the slightest! Spry is a really pretty brown nude "Kylie Jenner" shade and actually reminds me of a similar shade in her lip kits, this seems like a really good budget buy if you don't want to fork out for the real thing aka me, aka spending ban alert. So I'd definitely recommend giving this a try, love it!

Johanna Basford Colouring Books Review

Johanna Basford, Johanna Basford Colouring Books, Colouring Books, Adult Colouring Books, Adult Colouring Books Review

I've always liked to colour probably back when it was uncool if you weren't a 5 year old but I couldn't care less I loved it. Now with a whole range of adult colouring books being released I find myself purchasing new ones all the time. They're really great to help you relax and de-stress and I would recommend them completely plus it makes you feel like a kid again and that's kinda nice.

Over Christmas I purchased two Colouring Books by Illustrator Johanna Basford. I purchased one first but when it arrived I was so mesmerised buy it I had to purchase another so I have The Secret Garden and The Enchanted Forest.

I cannot compliment these colouring books enough it's like a fairy tale colouring book fit for a Disney Princess or those aspiring to be one *cough* me *cough* the paper itself is amazing quality and the pictures are drawn beautifully, what I really like about these is not only are they colouring books but they're like a little quest at the same time where you have to find creatures hidden amongst the drawings. I didn't want to post many pictures of the inside as I didn't want to spoil it, but these are hands down amazing!

If you love colouring definitely look at these books, you won't be disappointed.

Tanya Burr Eyeshadow Palettes

Tanya Burr Hollywood Palette Review, Tanya Burr Eyeshadows, Tanya Burr Fairytale Palette Review, Tanya Burr Eyeshadow Palettes, Tanya Burr Hollywood Palette, Tanya Burr Fairytale Palette

This post is well overdue as I've been meaning to write a review on these two pretty palettes from the Tanya Burr make-up range for aaaaages. So that's what I'm going to do today. There are three eyeshadow palettes currently in the range (I'm sure they'll be more additions soon) which are the Fairytale Palette, Hollywood Palette and Galaxy Palette. I've got the Fairytale (totally didn't buy it for the name or anything) and the Hollywood Palette. Each palette contains 4 eyeshadow shades each with cute names. Each palette also has a different print on the packaging that is then embossed on the eyeshadows to match which is a really cute and unique little touch.

The packaging on the palettes are beautiful they remind me of old school fairytale books, so pretty. They both have a decent sized little shaped mirror in as well. The shades in both of these palettes are a mixture of shimmer and matte shades and each shade is very versatile and can be used to create a soft everyday look or a smoky eye. The shadows themselves are soft, blend easily and are well pigmented.

You can tell a lot of thought has gone into the making of these palettes right down to the cute little touches and the choice of shades. On the back of the palettes there's also some helpful tips from Tanya on how to create an eye look using the eyeshadows from the palette, which I have used also, it's great if you're a beginner too as the steps are easy to follow.

I really like both of these and I'm glad I purchased these two. Not gunna lie I'll probably end up purchasing the Galaxy Palette soon, when I'm off the spending ban that is! Haha!

A Few Recent Little Purchases

New Beauty Buys, New Beauty Releases, Beauty Haul

I've been doing a bit of a trying-to-not-spree-out-on-beauty-products-ban recently but I have done a small budget shop so I thought I'd show you my recent purchases.

I am always trying out new concealers and so far my Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer (review here) trounces every one that I try, but I've recently picked up this one by Miss Sporty which only costs £2.99 which is a complete bargain, I've tried it a few times and I'm impressed so far.

I'm loving eyeshadows at the moment and I've been giving this Iconic 3 palette from Make Up Revolution a go. The Make Up Rev iconic palettes have been called dupes for the Naked Palettes, this palette  has really pretty shades from pinks to bronzes.

Another Make Up Rev item that I have to say I'm really loving is their pressed powder, I don't find this cakey in the slightest like not even a little bit which is amazing for the price of this!

I've never been one to give the brown nude lip shades a go mainly because I just didn't think they'd really suit me, but I think I've now found my go to and that's the MUA Luxe Whipped Velvet in Spry, it's amazing one of my favourite lip products right now it glides on so smoothly and applies really evenly this will definitely be a repurchase when I run out, 100% it's love.
